Introduction

The goal is to design a secure app for users to record daily diaries, track their moods, and connect with others. This app aims to offer a detailed, accurate mood assessment, promoting self-awareness. The community aspect goes beyond making friendships; users voluntarily engage with one another to support and improve each other’s mental well-being.

Problem Statement

P.1

One of the key challenges faced by users in many similar mood-tracking apps is the absence of clear, actionable insights regarding the trends in their emotional well-being over time. Users often struggle to access a comprehensive view of their daily, weekly, monthly, and annual mood patterns. This lack of data visibility limits their ability to track progress, identify triggers, and make informed decisions about improving their mental health.

P.2

Many individuals experience mental barriers or societal stigma when it comes to seeking help from a psychiatrist. These barriers can lead to feelings of discomfort or fear, making it difficult for them to take that first step toward professional mental health care. As a result, they actively search for alternative, more approachable solutions that allow them to address their emotional well-being in a way that feels less intimidating and more private.

Solutions

S.1

By designing a seamless flow, we encourage users to log their moods alongside each audio and written memory. This ensures that, upon visiting the app’s main page, users are immediately aware of their emotional state. Moreover, they gain easy access to a detailed analysis of their mood trends over the course of the week, month, and year, empowering them to understand their emotional patterns and make informed decisions about their mental health.

S.2

Due to the mental barriers users face, especially across different age groups, our research aimed to create a communication channel between users experiencing both positive and negative moods. The solution we implemented was a notification system that targeted these two groups separately. When users expressed their readiness, they were matched with others to connect and offer support. This approach helps users, whether they’re seeking encouragement or offering support, to engage with one another in a meaningful way, fostering a sense of community and mutual mental well-being.
